"A word from our Maria Callas, Libby Oberlin

"Maria Callas has been described in many ways: the greatest opera singer of our time, musical genius, diva extraordinaire, meticulous perfectionist, the original prima donna.

"While there are elements of truth in all of these descriptors, I’m most excited to convey the woman behind the superstar façade. ... Her wicked sense of humor, her all-consuming passion for the arts, and the complexities and hardships she faced as a child all color the woman who would become “La Divina.”

"I want nothing more than to portray the complexity and brilliance behind this truly exceptional woman, and feel privileged to do so. I speak for the whole cast and crew when I say, we hope to make Maria proud. Libby Oberlin"
