The Middlebury Language Schools' German for Singers Program

RichText.

I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending The Middlebury Language Schools' German for Singers Program in Vermont this summer!

This intensive language immersion program is designed specifically for singers and includes daily study and work on the German language as well as navigating the German music world. Basically, we shall live, eat, breath, sing, speak, (and sleep, maybe) in German.

There will be several performances throughout the program, including a fully staged production at the end (If you are in the Vermont area, come join us)! It shall be a journey of a lifetime!

P.S. If you are interested in learning more about the program, here is the link:http://www.middlebury.edu/ls/german/germanforsingers

"Creepy? Kooky? But of course! In this Tony award-winning musical, we find Gomez and Morticia are still dealing with their gruesomely creative family. The twist? Now grown, Wednesday has fallen in love with a “normal” boy. How will this oddly-matched love affair pan out? Start practicing your snapping!" ~ Spreckels Theatre Company

"The pioneering program, iSING! International Young Artists Festival makes its San Francisco debut. Founder and Artistic Director, Hao Jiang Tian, the only Chinese-born opera bass who has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera for over 20 years and has sung in over 1400 performances at major opera houses worldwide founded the iSING! Festival in 2011 to introduce Mandarin as a lyric language and Chinese vocal music as an emerging genre in the mainstream music world. Now in its eighth season, the iSING! Festival, held every summer in Suzhou, China, continues to produce top vocal talents, present top-tiered operatic performances and strengthen the cultural ties between China and the West.

"For this performance, they will bring to the stage seven of the most talented singers from around the world in a concert performance that will include famous operatic arias and well-known Chinese songs. This is truly a rare opportunity for audiences to discover this captivating repertoire and enjoy and evening of dynamic performances."

All proceeds will benefit the Asian Performing Arts Council for the 2018 iSING! International Young Artists Festival

"Peter Pan tells the classic J. M. Barrie tale of a young boy who refuses to grow up. Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.

"J. M. Barrie’s masterful story shines especially brightly with a rich score that includes the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," and a rousing book full of magic, warmth and adventure, Peter Pan is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up." ~ Spreckels Theatre Company
